We are having to adjust our parenting delivery as they are going through incredible change themselves. Sometimes when those two things come together... Whew! It's exhausting. Thank you as always for stopping by! We're at the 9-14 year old years and obviously, you already know how that time period can REALLY suck the energy and enthusiasm out of you. Thank you for this post!Kristen Daukashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471411386425199763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1993875912325356887.post-87978517285524743652012-10-20T10:47:04.134-07:002012-10-20T10:47:04.134-07:00Thank you for reading and commenting! True, once we are a mom, the child's necessities become our priority. But, there are times when mom just needs a bit of time to remember who she is. I truly believe that we are constantly working against our humanness to be selfless. Sometimes the fight is easy, and sometimes it's not. It's ok when our humanness takes over every once in a while. We need to be just that sometimes.... human! :) Thanks for reading! Of course our kids mean everything and we would give everything, but that is probably not the best thing to show them. In reality outside of their home the world does not evolve around them and they need to see that each person will not always be willing to sacrifice just for them. But at the same time teaching them in the home is probably the only place they can expect that to happen if they really need it. Thanks again for the post and empowering moms to say "thats how I feel, and its ok! "Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
